Welcome to Thornhill School
Thornhill School was established in 1999 in Lusaka Zambia by founders Mary and Joseph Chungu. Yes, we have been educating children for more than 23 years. Thornhill School started as a primary school and by 2003 we had our first grade 12 class sitting for exams. Currently Thornhill school offers education services from pre-grades all through to grade 12. Our Education services come with the option of boarding or day school for your child.
Having had thousands of learners pass through our hands we are proud of our learning experience with each child. It has been a privilege to be part of so many lives. We are an exam centre for grades 7,9 and 12 of which our pass rate in all three is over 95%. We have graduates from all over the world in China, United Kingdom, Australia, Thailand, South Africa including Harvard University in the United States and many more.
Our rich history is also filled with multiple participation in extra-curricular activities that range from sports, girl guides, scouts, scripture union, jets, debate clubs and so many more. Our goal is to expose the child to as many interests as possible enabling them to discover more about themselves and whom they hope to be in future.
We place highest value on the child and how they are learning. We work hand in hand with parents to achieve the best results for each and every child. Our academic calendar is divided into 3 terms. Each year begins in January through to December and is dotted with open days to promote open communication with parents.
